1.First release. Please follow the steps below to install the update:
1. After the file is downloaded, unzip and there will be two files in the folder:
— «update» folder, and
— » LiveGamerPortable2PlusUpdate_18.05.16.20.dmg » file 2. Please use a Micro SD card to perform firmware updates.
Firmware update instructions:
1) Switch the device to Card-Reader mode, insert the SD card into the device and plug in the USB cable.
2) Copy the «update» folder to the root directory of the Micro SD card (NTFS format is not supported), including the LGP2.bin file
3) Switch the device to PC-Free mode and wait for the device update to complete (do NOT interrupt the process)
4) During the update, the device’s LED will flash blue. Wait until the LED is turned off indicating the update is complete.
5) Unplug and re-plug the USB cable 3. After completing the firmware update, switch LGP2 Plus (GC513) to PC mode, connect it to your PC, make sure it is detected correctly, and then run “LiveGamerPortable2PlusUpdate_18.05.16.20.dmg”

    Рынок аудио-решений сегодня разросся настолько сильно, что простому обывателю, желающему получить качественный звук за приемлемые деньги приходится несладко.

    Пользователи, относящиеся к категории моддеров, то есть тех, кто с удовольствием модифицирует внешний вид своих ПК, используют массу непривычных материалов и комплектующих, для создания уникальных компьютеров.

    Компьютеры, Интернет, мобильная связь – эти понятия крепко вошли в нашу повседневную жизнь и сейчас уже невозможно представить, как мы раньше без них обходились.

    Гибридный TV- и FM-тюнер с интерфейсом USB 2.0 и аппаратным кодированием в MPEG2

    Двигаться вперёд заставляют новые потребности.

    Об отсутствии конкуренции среди компьютерных TV-тюнеров с интерфейсом USB 2.0 и поддержкой аппаратного сжатия в MPEG1/2 мы говорили неоднократно. Даже в мировых масштабах этот сегмент был достаточно узким, российский же рынок фактически получил монополиста в лице ориентированной на отечественных покупателей компании GOTVIEW. Спору нет, предлагаемые этим производителем модели установили достаточно высокую планку качества, но отсутствие конкуренции никогда не шло на пользу потребителям конечной продукции.

    Тайваньская компания AVerMedia Technologies Inc. в представлении не нуждается, достаточно вспомнить, что слова «тюнер» и «AVer» долгое время были синонимами на бывшей 1/6 части суши. Скудностью ассортимента линейка продуктов AVerMedia не отличается, в частности, решение, относящееся к классу устройств, о которых идёт речь, уже было представлено. Однако позиционирование AVerTV USB MCE как модели для сборщиков и прямо следующее из этого отсутствие в розничной продаже не позволило этому тюнеру занять сколько-нибудь заметное место в умах российских пользователей, несмотря на пристойные технические характеристики и оригинальный дизайн.

    Следующей попытки пришлось ждать почти год. Впервые с рассматриваемым в этом материале AVerTV Hybrid Ultra USB мы познакомились летом 2007 года на одной из крупнейших выставок компьютерной техники, но в продаже устройство появилось только сейчас.

    Комплект поставки

    Тюнер поставляется в коробке, оформленной в фирменной цветовой гамме с использованием оранжевых тонов. Прозрачных вставок, иногда появляющихся в коробках компании, на этот раз не наблюдается.

    Тестовый экземпляр достался нам, так сказать, в предельно сокращённой комплектации, покупатели должны обнаружить в коробке следующие предметы:

    • Тюнер
    • Пульт ДУ
    • FM-антенна
    • Интерфейсный кабель A — B
    • CD с драйверами и программным обеспечением
    • Русскоязычное руководство по установке тюнера

    Не исключено, что найдётся и портативная DVB-T антенна, прилагаемая к остальным гибридным устройствам компании. Дополнительное ПО традиционно отсутствует, однако тюнер поддерживает подробно описанный в обзоре AVerTV Duo Hybrid PCI-E AVer MediaCenter, доступный на официальном сайте.

    Внешний вид тюнера свидетельствует об уходе от традиций AVerTV USB 2.0 и AVerMedia AVerTV USB2.0 Plus. Вместо прямоугольного серебристого металлического корпуса перед нами чёрный пластик и закруглённые боковины.

    Результатом увеличения размеров (габариты AVerTV Hybrid Ultra USB составляют 117×108×24 мм против 91,4×88,4×17,5 мм у AVerTV USB MCE и 89,1×77,1×15 мм у моделей без поддержки аппаратного сжатия в MPEG2) стала более удобная коммутация. Разъёмы для подключения внешних источников (S-Video, композитный и 2 RCA аудио) мигрировали на переднюю панель в компанию к ИК-датчику пульта ДУ и синему светодиодному индикатору активности с обожаемым инженерами компании достаточно высоким уровнем яркости. Cтандартный (ранее использовался переходник) антенный разъём IEC переехал на заднюю панель в компанию к интерфейсному разъёму и mini-jack 3,5 мм для подключения FM-антенны.

    Разумеется, изменилась и схемотехника.

    Для приёма сигнала служит гибридный мультистандартный ВЧ-блок XC3028ACQ, разработанный калифорнийской компанией Xceive Inc.. Похоже, AVerMedia прекращает использование знакомого нам по предыдущим продуктам компании европейского варианта XC3018, не поддерживающего вещание в NTSC.

    АЦП не изменился, это снова 10-битный CX25843 (ревизия 24Z) производства Conexant Systems, Inc.. Чип имеет трёхполосный эквалайзер и регулировку баланса, поддержка которых в штатном ПО, к сожалению, не реализована.

    За аппаратное сжатие, по-прежнему, отвечает популярный MPEG1/2-энкодер CX23416-22, под буфер которого отведён модуль памяти производства Etron Technology, Inc. ёмкостью 8 МБ.

    Поддержка USB2.0 реализована при помощи контроллера CY7C68013A от Cypress Semiconductor.

    COFDM (Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) демодулятор с маркировкой ZL10353 после перехода в ноябре 2005 года вместе с другими решениями, разработанными Zarlink Semiconductor Inc, в собственность Intel Corporation известен как Intel CE6353.

    Настройка

    Оболочка установочного диска представляет собой одноуровневое меню, позволяющее установить программу и драйвер отдельно или совместно (выбор осуществляется непосредственно при установке).

    После установки в разделе Sound, video and game controllers появляется устройство AVerMedia M039 USB Hybrid DVB-T.

    В системный трей помещается иконка резидентной программы Quick TV, отвечающей за работу планировщика и пульта ДУ.

    При тестировании использовались драйверы 1.3.0.67 для Windows XP и 1.3.64.67 для 64-разрядной Windows Vista. Российским пользователям производитель рекомендует программу AVerTV 6.2.2, с которой и проводилось тестирование, однако на официальном сайте можно найти версию 6.0.11 Beta с более поздней датой и поддержкой цифрового вещания в H.264.

    Локализация программы доработана до хорошего уровня, тем не менее, любителям английского языка напоминаем о возможности удаления файлов rcrus.lng и rcrus.dll из Program FilesAVerTV 6.0configlang.

    В разделе Вид панели находятся такие настройки интерфейса, как общее оформление (варианты Azure Fantasy и Dusk Comet заметно отличаются друг от друга), цветовая гамма экранного меню (OSD) и эффект прозрачности при вызове главной панели. Подраздел Экранное меню позволяет выбрать цветовую гамму, длительность и параметры для отображения (канал, систему цветности, режим звука и так далее).

    В настройках захвата кадров можно выбрать их количество, интервал между снимками, формат, префиксы (дата, время, сигнал, программа, пользовательский) и выбор разрешения (от 160×200 до 1600×1200). Максимальное количество скриншотов в серии составляет 100.

    Раздел Сохранение файлов предоставляет доступ к настройкам ограничения времени записи, разбиения файлов по размеру и опции сохранения буферного файла при работе в режиме отложенного просмотра (TimeShift, Сдвиг по времени). Префиксы в названиях файлов совпадают с настройками, перечисленными выше для раздела Снимок.

    Раздел Разное содержит опцию включения/отключении аппаратного ускорения видео DxVA (почему-то недоступную уже долгое время у всех (!) тестируемых моделей на разных конфигурациях) и активацию поддержки энергосберегающих режимов с действиями, совершаемыми после отключения (выход из приложения, завершение сеанса, режим ожидания, спящий режим, отключение компьютера). Чекбокс Свернуть окно помогает при работе в FM-режиме, позволяя минимизировать интерфейс до иконки в системном трее.

    Настройки телетекста состоят из двух вариантов вывода субтитров (в основном окне/в отдельном окне) и чекбокса, отвечающего за прозрачность.

    Раздел Keyboard, почему-то уклоняющийся от перевода на русский с момента появления, предоставляет возможность полноценной настройки «горячих» клавиш.

    Раздел основных настроек устройства позволяет отключить работу в любом из режимов, включая низкочастотные входы, выбрать регион и настроить стандарты для S-Video и композитного видеовхода.

    Несмотря на возможность DVB-T передавать на одной частоте как телевизионные каналы, так и радиостанции, подход AVerMedia предусматривает раздельное отображение теле- и радиоканалов как для аналогового, так и для цифрового режимов. При выборе России в качестве региона автопоиск работает корректно. Можно сохранить несколько пользовательских списков каналов.

    В дополнительных настройках канала можно изменить название, частоту, параметры сканирования (все частоты / произвольная частота), полосу пропускания и часовой пояс при использовании EPG (Electronic Program Guide).

    Ручная настройка таких параметров как VPID (Video Program Identification) и APID (Audio Program Identification) отсутствует, впрочем, необходимости в последней при тестировании тюнеров от AVerMedia пока ни разу не возникало.

    При работе в режиме DVB-T возможна запись программного (Program Stream) MPEG2-потока или звуковой дорожки отдельно. Запись транспортного потока (Transport Stream) не поддерживается, зато поддерживается перекодирование в H.264, ограниченное разрешением 320×240.

    В разделе настройки аналоговых каналов отсутствует разделение на антенный и кабельный диапазоны. Поиск осуществляется по всем каналам. Неудобством этого подхода является несовпадение номеров найденных каналов со стандартными. Впрочем, это компенсируется возможностью собственной сортировки списка. Сохранение нескольких пользовательских списков каналов возможно и здесь.

    В дополнительных настройках можно найти не только название канала, частоту, индивидуальный стандарт цветности и точную подстройку, но и запуск поиска по частоте.

    Остальные настройки, изменяемые для каждого канала индивидуально, вызываются при помощи специальной кнопки на панели интерфейса. Таким образом, к стандарту цветности добавляются яркость, контраст, оттенок, насыщенность, резкость, масштабирование (overscan), система и режим стереозвука.

    Отсутствие выбора типа деинтерлейсинга и шумоподавления обусловлено тем, что штатное ПО работает только с MPEG2-потоком (!). Судя по тому, что вывода изображения без применения аппаратного кодера, реализованного в USB2.0 тюнерах от GOTVIEW со схожим дизайном, не удалось добиться ни в одной из альтернативных программ, эта возможность заблокирована на уровне драйвера.

    При использовании отложенного просмотра (TimeShift, Сдвиг по времени) также используется аппаратное кодирование. Разрешение (720×480 и 720×576 в зависимости от стандарта) изменению не подлежит, зато видеобитрейт (от 5000 до 8000 Кбит/с, переменный битрейт не поддерживается), аудиобитрейт (от 192 до 384 кбит/c) и частоту дискретизации (32, 44.1, 48 Кбит/с) изменить можно. Это справедливо только для аналогового режима, при работе с DVB-T параметры совпадают с параметрами потока.

    Кроме записи в MPEG2 при помощи аппаратного кодера с настройками, аналогичными режиму TimeShift, возможно программное перекодирование в H.264 из MPEG2 (!), снова ограниченное разрешением 320×240.

    Дополнительные возможности

    Из дополнительных возможностей следует отметить миниатюрную галерею захваченных файлов, предварительный просмотр 16 каналов (работает только в полноэкранном режиме), режим воспроизведения видеофайлов внутри/вне основного видеоокна «Картинка в картинке»/«Картинка вне картинки» (PIP/POP) и вывод изображения на рабочий стол.

    Планировщик поддерживает фоновую запись Silent Record с отключенным звуком и TimeShift в качестве задания. Раздел дополнительных настроек позволяет настроить такие параметры, как место хранения записи, формат и разбиение файла для каждой задачи.

    Существует возможность отключения компьютера/перехода в энергосберегающий режим после выполнения запланированного задания и таймер отключения до двух часов с шагом 30 минут.

    В цифровом режиме поддерживаются субтитры.

    Качество

    Качество изображения при работе с DVB-T определяется провайдером и может изменяться в диапазоне от низких разрешений с небольшим битрейтом до HDTV.

    AVerTV Hybrid Ultra USB продемонстрировал хорошее качество автоматического поиска и приёма каналов. Как уже было сказано выше, в штатном ПО используется просмотр декодированного при помощи собственного программного фильтра MPEG2-потока с битрейтом 5000 Кбит/с. В связи с этим, в динамичных сценах могут быть заметны артефакты компрессии, но есть и положительный момент в виде постоянно задействованного аппаратного шумоподавления средствами кодировщика. Не обошлось без ложки дёгтя — доступ к отвечающим за этот параметр настройкам драйвера закрыт.

    Если отвлечься от необходимости мириться с организованным таким образом просмотром, то тюнер демонстрирует хорошее качество изображения.

    Нареканий на качество звука во время тестирования не появилось.

    Неприятно удивило отсутствие автоматического определения системы цветности. В условиях, наблюдаемых у многих российских пользователей, эта особенность ставит под вопрос целесообразность использования тюнера с мультимедийными оболочками современных операционных систем. Хочется надеяться на появление этой возможности в следующих версиях, но тот же недуг у AVerTV USB MCE наводит на невесёлые размышления.

    Загадкой оказался вывод изображения при использовании широкоформатного монитора только с пропорциями 4:3. Во всяком случае, работа с MPEG2 не должна накладывать таких ограничений.

    Традиционно, напомним об имеющейся у большинства современных тюнеров на базе CX2584x проблеме с синхронизацией при захвате с видеокассет (в основном, это касается неоднократно перезаписанных носителей), записанных на некоторых видеокамерах/видеомагнитофонах, преимущественно производства Sony (однако, как показывает практика, от этого эффекта не застрахованы и владельцы бытовой техники других марок). В настоящее время эта проблема практически полностью решена только у тюнеров от GOTVIEW, причём информация о способе решения передана в Conexant и не является тайной для остальных производителей. Однако какой-либо информации о действиях производителей конечных решений в этом направлении не имеется, так что вероятность столкнуться с подобным при покупке устройств на базе этого АЦП остаётся.

    Умеренный нагрев тюнера при работе оснований для беспокойства не вызывает.

    FM-тюнер

    Программа использует общий интерфейс для всех режимов. Автоматический поиск преподнёс сюрприз, на этот раз приятный. AVerTV Hybrid Ultra USB занял место в почётном списке тюнеров, отличившихся корректным приёмом FM-станций, необходимости в серьёзном редактировании полученного списка не возникло. Качество приёма также заслуживает хорошей оценки.

    FM-режим имеет свои настройки режима отложенного просмотра, точнее, прослушивания. Как и при работе с аналоговыми телевизионными каналами используется сжатие в MPEG2 с возможностью настройки в одноимённом разделе битрейта (192 — 384 Кбит/с) и частоты дискретизации (32, 44.1, 48 кГц).

    Возможно перекодирование в H.264, WMA, WAV и MP3. Последний формат по-умолчанию ограничен системными параметрами 22 кГц 56 Кбит/с. Традиционно, это обходится заменой стандартного кодека от Microsoft полной версией Fraunhofer MPEG Layer-3 codec или использованием альтернативных вариантов.

    Тюнер продемонстрировал хорошее качество звука (скачать 20-секундный фрагмент, mp3, 485 КБ).

    К разряду мелких неудобств можно отнести задержку переключения в FM-режим и обратно, составляющую 5-10 секунд.

    Пульт ДУ

    Тюнер комплектуется тем же пультом, что и предыдущие полноразмерные модели компании с интерфейсом USB 2.0. Эргономика пульта находится на хорошем уровне, кнопки сгруппированы по группам с цветовым выделением. Нажатие информативно. Поддерживается эмуляция мыши, из-за чего на цифровые кнопки нанесены изображения стрелок, а цифры подписаны рядом. Не очень удобно, логичнее было бы сделать наоборот. Питание от двух батареек типоразмера AAA (входят в комплект поставки).

    Штатное ПО поддерживает полноценную настройку кнопок пульта ДУ.

    В подразделе Управление удалённым источником можно выбрать режимы работы тюнера при использовании пульта. Там же находится возврат к заводским настройкам.

    Судя по фотографии на сайте, в дальнейшем AVerTV Hybrid Ultra USB может комплектоваться MCE-совместимым пультом ДУ.

    Выводы

    На момент выхода этого обзора AVerTV Hybrid Ultra USB является единственным на российском рынке гибридным TV-тюнером с интерфейсом USB 2.0, оснащённым аппаратным MPEG2 кодировщиком, что обеспечивает этой модели награду нашего сайта за оригинальный дизайн.

    В отличие от продукции компаний, ориентированных на отечественный рынок, AVerMedia исповедует подход, прямо противоположный максимальной функциональности штатного ПО в ущерб его доступности для неопытных пользователей. Отмеченное в качестве недостатков отсутствие записи с переменным битрейтом или поддержки программного сжатия не способно существенно повлиять на просмотр телепрограмм и качественное аппаратное кодирование в MPEG2 при отсутствии у покупателя желания разбираться с большим количеством настроек программы, не всегда понятных без вдумчивого изучения руководства и посещения специализированных сайтов. Поэтому основные критерии при выборе между AVerTV Hybrid Ultra USB и ближайшим конкурентом GOTVIEW USB2.0 DVD2, скорее всего, будут определяться не отсутствием у последнего поддержки DVB-T (в случае важности именно этого фактора вопрос конкуренции снимается с повестки дня), а именно разницей в идеологии штатных программ.
